Functional analysis

Understanding the biology behind the prognostic or predictive signature is of critical importance when it comes to regulatory approval.

We offer solutions for understanding the biology behind your genomics experiments which includes biological enrichment through pathway analysis, gene network creation, gene ontology analysis, upstream sequence analysis and regulatory sequences.

Pathway analysis can lead to the identification of biomarkers that can be validated and taken forward for IHC or PCR based tests.

Gene ontology analysis provides insights about biological processes, cellular activity
and molecular functions of your data, which may lead to the identification of novel targets in resistant tumours.

Our Approach:

  • We will work with you to design the study and will carry out the profiling and gene selection, either by identification of statistically interesting genes, or by gene signature generation.
  • We will carry out pathway analysis on the lists, identifying the pathways involved, how the genes in the pathway are interacting and constructing gene networks, indicative of the interactions between pathways.
  • Upon identification of pathways of interest, we can carry out validation studies to identify a panel of genes suitable for developing into a predictive test.
  • We will use our expertise in working with all relevant technologies to identify the appropriate technology to develop and validate the test.
